The list of 60 entrants for the 2019 24 Heures Motos is official

This year’s Le Mans 24 Heures Motos will be held on 20-21 April at the Bugatti track in Le Mans. The famous motorcycle race is the second round of the 2018-19 FIM European World Championship.

Today, 24 January 2019, the list of 60 teams entered for the 24 Heures Motos was announced at a press conference hosted by championship promoter Eurosport Events.

The 42nd annual edition of the 24-hour classic is set to be as thrilling as ever, with a line-up of accomplished riders from all over the world.

Bikers of all nationalities eagerly await the names of the riders lucky enough to be part of the 60 teams tackling the Bugatti track on 20-21 April. As well as the official announcement, the presentation emphasised the prestige of the race and the outlook for 2019.

Pierre Fillon, President of the Automobile Club de l’Ouest, Jacques Bolle, President of the FFM (French motorcycling federation) and vice President of the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM) and François Ribeiro, operations manager of Eurosport Events took part in the presentation of the forthcoming event. All three emphasised the race’s role as a cornerstone of the motorcycle racing calendar.

Special guests riders Freddy and Kenny Foray, Erwan Nigon, Alexis Masbou, Louis Rossi and Gabriel Pons were visibly delighted at the official confirmation of their participation in what is one of the ultimate challenges for an endurance rider.

An invitation was extended to the president of the FIM, Jorge Viegas, to be official starter of the 2019 24 Heures Motos.

The grid comprises three categories: 23 Formula EWC, 35 Superstock and 2 prototypes in the Experimental category.

The 180-rider line-up includes 16 different nationalities, with 42 French teams on the grid.
